Washington, DC – Every year, U.S. News & World Report releases their annual list of the Best hospitals across the country, by specialty, including the highly coveted “Honor Roll” list that distinguishes the best of the best. This year, only 140 out of almost 5,000 hospitals can call themselves one of the nation’s best, which requires the institution to rank among the top in at least one specialty. Of those 140, only 17 made the “Honor Roll,” which recognizes those hospitals that rank among the top in at least six specialties.
This year, the Association of Medical Device Reprocessors (AMDR) is proud to announce that its members currently serve ALL 17 hospitals in the U.S. News & World Report’s “Honor Roll” List. In addition to this outstanding achievement, they also serve a majority of the hospitals that ranked among the top 10 in the following specialties:
- Cancer (9 out of 10),
- Cardiology and Heart Surgery (10 out of 10),
- Ear, Nose and Throat (9 out of 10),
- Diabetes and Endocrinology (10 out of 10),
- Gastroenterology (10 out of 10), and
- Geriatrics (10 out of 10).
The Association of Medical Device Reprocessors represents the interests of the nation’s third-party, “single-use” medical device reprocessing industry. Over 3,000 hospitals across the country incorporate third-party reprocessing into their supply chain on a daily basis and have realized the economic and environmental benefits complimenting this strategy.
