On Monday, the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation’s (AAMI) draft second edition to Technical Information Report (TIR) 30, “A compendium of processes, materials, test methods, and acceptance criteria for cleaning reusable medical devices,” took one further step toward release. The Committee, of which AMDR is a member, voted to approve the revised text. The document will now undergo an internal, 30 day review and will be presented to AAMI’s overarching Sterilization Standards Committee for approval and release.
