Healthcare Purchasing News is reporting that Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions division (Stryker) announced an agreement with Royal Philips to allow health systems engaged in single-use device (SUD) reprocessing with Stryker to purchase new and reprocessed Philips ECG leads for one low price.
The Save Simply program is a unique way to simplify the supply chain, help drive down device costs, and lower the environmental footprint of care, expanding on the nearly $300M supply savings Stryker delivers to U.S. health systems annually.
“Save Simply is a major win for health systems in their battle to become more financially and environmentally sustainable without sacrificing quality care,” said Brian White, President, Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions division.
The program furthers Philips’ ongoing commitment to sustainability as an integral part of the company’s business practices and its vision of improving the lives of 3 billion people each year by 2025. “At Philips, we fully embrace sustainability, because we believe that using less is no longer enough and there’s always a way to make life better,” said Felix Baader, Business Leader Patient Monitoring, Philips.
