Catholic Healthcare West: CHW Partners with Ascent Medical Device Reprocessing and Recycling to Advance Its ‘Go Green’ Initiative (06/08/10):

For more than a decade, Catholic Healthcare West’s (CHW) hospitals have woven environmentally conscious programs and processes into their everyday work. CHW’s already established ‘Go Green’ initiative has taken their recycling efforts to a new level in partnering with a medical device repurposing company, diverting thousands of pounds of medical waste and saving over $500,000 in 2009 supply costs.
CHW has partnered with Ascent, the leader in single-use medical device (SUD) reprocessing, in an effort to demand better resource utilization and further drive its green initiatives.
