Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions (Stryker) division, a leading provider of reprocessing and remanufacturing services for single-use medical devices, helped their customers save $326M in supply costs and divert 13.4M pounds of waste from the landfill in 2017. Stryker recently launched their first environmental product, patient positioners. Their patient positioners are made with approximately 20% soy material which decreases total energy demand, reduces non-renewable energy use and lowers global warming emissions. Stryker also has a Pulse Ox for the Planet program which encourages customers to increase pulse oximeter collections by 10% or greater annually. When customers achieve this goal, Stryker donates trees to the National Forest Foundation. In 2017, Stryker donated 5,000 trees to help restore the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon. They are excited to continue this program and their commitment to sustainability in 2018!  Learn more at www.sustainability.stryker.com.
