Stryker Sustainability Solutions just released their October 2011 “Reprocessing Report,” featuring a cover story on Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) by AMDR President Dan Vukelich.  In the article, Vukelich demonstrates the potential for ACOs to achieve substantial savings via reprocessed “single-use” medical devices and how participating hospitals can capitalize on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) proposed rules to implement the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and regulate ACOs.
