As part of their Going Green Initiative, INOVA Health System has created a video outlining their recycling efforts in 2011, including:
- Over 1 million lbs of Regulated Medical Waste eliminated
- Diverted 66,000 suction canisters from landfills with a fluid management system
- Achieved over $1 million in savings by reprocessing single-use devices
- Recycled over 4 million lbs of waste
