Leigh said that the hospital has joined an initiative called “Greening the Operating Room,” through which hospitals from all over the country can compare ideas about sustainability.
He said they’re looking at new options for equipment that they used to just throw away.
“There are many things that are marketed as single use devices that can in fact be reprocessed, re-sterilized, and get many more uses out of,” Leigh explained.
